Spray foam insulation in Bettendorf, IA

Residential and commercial spray foam services across Bettendorf, Davenport, and the Quad Cities.

Attic spray foam insulation

The attic is where most Bettendorf homes lose money. Hot air rises, escapes through gaps in fiberglass batts, and your furnace works overtime to replace it. Spray foam seals every joist bay, every penetration around can lights and bath fans, and every gap along the top plate.

For most Quad Cities attics we recommend open-cell foam at the roof deck (rather than the attic floor), which brings ductwork and HVAC equipment into the conditioned envelope. The result is a quieter, cleaner, more efficient home — and an attic you can actually use as storage without it being 130°F in July.

Crawl space encapsulation

Older Bettendorf and Davenport homes near the river almost universally have damp, drafty crawl spaces — and that moisture rises right into your living area. Encapsulating with closed-cell spray foam plus a vapor barrier eliminates the musty smell, kills the mold conditions, and stops cold floors above.

We seal foundation walls, the rim joist, and any vents to the outside, then run a dehumidifier or supply register to keep the space at normal household humidity year-round.

Closed-cell vs open-cell foam

Closed-cell foam is denser (R-7 per inch), acts as a vapor barrier, and adds rigidity to the structure. It's the right call for crawl spaces, rim joists, basement walls, and any application below grade or against the elements in our wet Mississippi River climate.

Open-cell foam is lighter (R-3.7 per inch), absorbs sound, and is more cost-effective per square foot. We use it inside attics and interior walls where vapor diffusion is acceptable. On the same job, we'll often use both — closed-cell where you need the moisture barrier, open-cell where you just need air-sealing and R-value.

Pole barn and outbuilding insulation

Pole barns, shops, and detached garages are some of our favorite jobs. Closed-cell spray foam adheres to metal panels and wood framing, stops condensation drip from the underside of steel roofs, and turns a seasonal building into a year-round workshop.

We work with property owners across the Quad Cities — from small backyard shops in Riverdale to working barns out toward Le Claire and beyond.

Rim and band joist insulation

The rim joist — that wood band that sits on top of your foundation — is one of the leakiest spots in nearly every Bettendorf home. Two inches of closed-cell foam there is the single highest-ROI insulation upgrade you can make. It usually pays for itself in 2–3 winters.

We almost always recommend doing rim joists at the same time as any crawl space or basement project. The added cost is small and the performance gain is huge.

Commercial spray foam

We handle commercial buildings throughout the Quad Cities — warehouses, retail buildouts, light industrial, and metal buildings. Spray foam controls condensation in cold storage, meets envelope requirements for new construction, and significantly reduces operating costs in conditioned spaces.
