Cellulose or fiberglass — which is better?+
Both work. Cellulose is slightly higher R-value per inch (~3.7 vs ~2.5), denser, and made from recycled paper. Fiberglass is lighter, won't settle as much over time, and is non-flammable without additives. For most QC attic top-ups we recommend cellulose; for walls we always use dense-pack cellulose.
